APRILIA was born making offroad bikes, not street bikes even though everyone in the continent seems to believe otherwise. In the early 90s, Aprilia had the clever idea to design a lighter a touring dual purpose bike using the rotax 600 engine. Such idea was copied a decade later by BMW with their 650 model.
